All aboard! The Paul Busse Garden Railway is arriving at the Conservatory station.
Guests can journey with the trains through a miniature world of 51 botanical models made from all-natural plant material. Special elements to add to your itinerary include an enchanted tree hollow, two waterfalls, a bubbling brook and plantings specific to each themed destination.
The Cardinal Health Gallery will showcase the work of artist Lance Johnson in his exhibition titled A Beautiful Journey. Using a combination of mediums such as collage, graffiti, stencils, texture, and found materials, Lance recreates the feeling of walking through a neighborhood where every wall tells a story.
The exhibition is both a celebration and a reflection of his evolution as an artist. Lance Johnson is a multi-disciplinary visual artist and muralist based in Columbus, known for his bold, expressive use of color, collage, and layered text to tell stories rooted in identity, culture, and community.
Are you looking for ways to transform your memories onto the page? Memory is an evocative thing, and in some cases, a ceaseless tyrant. The personal essay is a powerful way to explore these ideas more deeply to create a compelling narrative. In this workshop, we’ll learn and apply techniques for writing memory as personal essay, including how to “unpack” transformative moments about a person, place, or thing. We’ll also experiment with voice and point of view. By the workshop’s end, you’ll leave with at least three drafts to get you started, as well as tips for how to keep writing—and revising. This workshop is geared toward all, from the beginning writer who has “all these great ideas” in their head, to the writer who needs a jumpstart to keep going.

Best way to have fun while making new friends. Whether you've never done improv before or you're a seasoned veteran, come on out and play some games with us at Gresso's!
The idea behind improv is to create entire comedy scenes from scratch, similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway. In addition to being a lot of fun, it also offers lessons in everything from communication to thinking on your feet.
The meetup will be either on the second floor or Gresso's or in the basement (we'll post an update shortly before the start of each meetup). Stay afterward for a drink and/or some food with people!
