Ohio rated average at incorporating technology in education

Columbus, OH – A new study gives Ohio a passing grade on integrating technology in education. The tenth annual edition of the Technology Counts report, released by Education Week and the Editiorial Projects in Education Research Center, gives Ohio a C grade. The report measures things like how many students have computers in their classroom and teacher license requirements. What's in a name?

Slow but rewarding

If you'd like to know an example of "saga" that eschews violence and sex to concentrate on the impact of global living on the family unit, then see Mira Nair's Namesake. She traces a young Indian, Gogol, from his youth through his almost mid-life in New York with the kind of attention to detail and sympathy we all should hope from our biographers. Gogol's name derives from the Russian author with clear thematic relevance to his famous short story, The Overcoat.

Reign Over Me

Pair a Docs

It needs help.

Trying to figure out how the awkward title Reign Over Me fits this awkward film is as tough as trying to write something sparkling about it. Punch-Drunk Love Sandler is acting again with an eye on Oscar, but less successfully because nothing here is better than mediocre.

The Lookout

Absorbing . . .

So you want a good heist film? See Dog Day Afternoon, as tense a study in botched robbery and kidnapping to come out of the '70's as any. Don't think the sweet Lookout will carry the same tension because it so heavily relies on the character exposition of its protagonist, Chris (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), that the heist is just an artful ending to an absorbing study of depression and rehabilitation.
