The only time a phone book seems useful is when looking for the number to a plumber or a Chinese restaurant.  I'm sure you've never even considered how strong a phone book actually is; I know I haven't.  However, after visiting Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition, I knew the answer to this question.  It took two army tanks (8,000 pounds) to pull 2 phone books apart, and COSI has the evidence to prove it.

It’s a famous stunt: a magician pulls a tablecloth from under a table full of dishes without disturbing a single one. Would you believe physics is at work in this trick?

With “Tablecloth Chaos”, one of several interactive activities at COSI's Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition, you can put your skills to the test. Using Newton's first law of physics, one can find the best and easiest way to pull the tablecloth without disturbing anything. There may be several ways to pull the tablecloth successfully, just make sure you don't mess up the dishes!

For those daredevils out there, this week's look into Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition will be sure to thrill. Even for other, more timid people, this week's interactive activity is not as dangerous as it sounds.  This activity tests the myth of whether one can dodge a bullet.

This week’s look into Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition is all about the Killer Card Toss, an interactive that tests one’s ability to throw a card so quickly that it sticks into a target.  The success in this activity depends on the card’s angular momentum, which is created by the angle at which you throw the card and the flick of the wrist.

Find out how quickly you can toss a card at COSI’s Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition, featured at COSI through September 2, and keep watching www.wcbe.org for more about this exciting new exhibit.

Can you dodge a bullet? How long can you hang from a ledge with just your fingers? Is it possible to pull the tablecloth off of a set table without moving a dish?

Find out all these answers and more, without the risk, at COSI's new Mythbusters exhibit. Through September 2, you can be a part of the Emmy – nominated hit TV show that examines and answers everyday questions and legends.

Have you ever wondered how long you can hang onto a cliff before falling to your untimely demise?

The answer to this (minus the risk of imminent death) is at COSI’s newest exhibit, Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition and Cliffhanger, an activity that tests your ability to hang onto a "cliff" for as long as you can stand it.

In this week's look into Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition, is it possible to drive successfully while "blind"?

In this interactive activity, the participant is driving on a course that they cannot see. They must rely on a partner who can see the course to give instruction. The activity is not about who has the most driving experience, it is more about how to relay directions in a helpful, organized fashion.
