Mike received his degree in business finance form the Ohio State University in the mid 1980's. Since graduation he's made a living from playing, mixing, mastering, and producing music, and joined the WCBE family in 2002.

The Secret Sisters are Laura and Lydia Rogers.

They will perform at the Rumba Cafe the evening of May 26.

This will be one of their last shows in this part of the country, before they head west for shows in Washington, Oregon, and California.

"You Don't Own Me Anymore" is their latest release.

He's a singer songwriter and guitar player, and he's also known as the tour manager for the Dark Star Orchestra.

The Dark Star Jubilee Music Festival is this weekend at Legend Valley in Thornville Ohio.

Matt will play a few songs, and talk about this year's festival, which will include appearances from Railroad Earth, and Keller Williams Kwahtro and Hot Tuna.

A couple of the musical styles she dabbles in include samba and bossa nova, sometimes singing in english.

Her voice appears in the movie, "The Devil's Toothpick", which also features music from saxophonist Donald Harrison, and Gilberto Gil, who served as Brazil's minister of culture from 2003 to 2008.

Before Kenia started her own label, Mooka records, she released recordings on the RCA, and Denon labels.

Some of the artists helping out on this release include, Amy Helm, Larry Campbell, Peter Wolf and David Crosby.

He's also had opportunities to work with Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Merle Haggard, Cheryl Wheeler, Judy Collins, Jerry Douglas and Ricky Skaggs.

They will both be playing at Natalie's Coal Fired Pizza In Worthington the evening of the 9th.

Local artist Jared Mahone is getting ready to perform at some house concerts in Virginia, Maryland, and New Jersey. He's been working on some new material playing solo at house concerts earlier this year.

He will be performing in Hudson Ohio the evening of the 4th, but will be traveling back to play at the Central Ohio Folk Festival this weekend.

It's been a while since his last visit to studio A.

Since he last visited studio A in support of  his first release, "Angeleno", back in late 2015, Sam Outlaw has been playing shows as far away as Europe and Australia.

This time, he will be talking about his new recording, "Tenderheart", and playing a few songs as well.

"Building A Building", the debut full length release from Yellow Paper Planes, comes out the same day as their visit to studio A.

It will be available as a digital download, CD, and on vinyl.

The release show is scheduled for the evening of April 21, at Ace Of Cups.

Based in California, musicians in this band come from as far away as Norway and Cuba.

She is currently on the road with Bryan Ferry. Their Central Ohio stop will be at the Palace Theatre.

Judith will be joined by Leland Sklar, Pedro Segundo and Gabriella Swallow for this, and several other performances on this tour.

This Columbus based band has been making music since 2008.

Souther's "Scenes" release has been out for a few months now, and can be purchased here.

The new one, "Souther Is For Lovers", is ready to go, and the release show for that one will be at The Shrunken Head Saturday January 21st.

The former frontman of Augustana, Dan Layus has a new release out, "Dangerous Things".

His new offering is available through his website.

He will resume touring in January, but you can hear him play a few songs, and talk about this new release before that.

These guys out of Nashville have been described as having musical influences ranging from rock, bluegrass, funk, metal and classic country.

Their Star City release from earlier this year contains their new single "Martha" which can be viewed online on youtube here.

Doc Robinson is a collaboration between Nick D'andrea (Nick D And The Believers) and Jon Elliott (The Floorwalkers).

Their new EP is "Golden Daze" , and the release show is scheduled to take place at Brothers Drake on Saturday November 19th.

It's been several years since his last visit to studio A.

With several musical releases now under his belt, he's recorded duets with Patty Griffin, and Lucinda Williams.

He has also worked with Charlie Sexton on a couple of releases, and they also created music for the "Monster Hunter" movie.

After this Live From Studio A Session, he will perform at Natalie's Coal Fired Pizza In Worthington.

Having performed in places as far away as Europe and Australia, Nikki and her band will perform at Natalie's Coal Fired Pizza In Worthington the evening of the 27th.

They'll be heading back to Europe in November as well, playing places like the Czech Republic, and Poland.

Their latest release, "Heavy Hearts Hard Fists", came out last year, and it's available through iTunes.

His new effort is, "American Fork", and you can read more about that online at lastchancerecords.com.

The release show for that will take place on September 2nd in Nashville, but you can see him perform live at Natalie's Coal Fired Pizza In Worthington the evening of September 6th.

If you can't make it to either of those shows, you'll still have a chance to hear him perform live on WCBE the following morning.

The New Kid Runner release, "Body Language", is now out.

Their release show is scheduled to be at Skully's Music Diner August 26th.

After that, Kid Runner will be playing shows in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York.

A project of Robert Loss, Blind Engineer started as a solo home-recording project about 5 years ago, but has since evolved into something much more.

Lately, he has been playing with Jesse Charles, Bill Heingartner and Eric Nassau.

These five musician/actors will stop by studio A to perform before their final performances at Studio Two, at the Riffe Center.

Ring Of Fire features the music of Johnny Cash, including "I've Been Everywhere", and "Folsom Prison Blues".
