2 Killed, 8 Hurt In Four-Vehicle Crash

The State Highway Patrol says two people were killed and eight people, including two Hilliard residents, were injured in a four-vehicle crash near Port Clinton last night. Troopers say a car turned left in front a minivan and was struck on State Route 2. The van then hit two stopped vehicles waiting to enter the road. The driver and passenger in the turning car, 78-year-old Jerald Zimmer and 74-year-old Rosanne Zimmer, died. The Toledo woman driving the minivan was flown to a hospital. Four children in the van were treated and released. Another Toledo woman in the van and a Hilliard woman in a stopped vehicle sustained incapacitating injuries. A Hilliard man sustained minor injuries.
