The last of four people who staged a protest at last year's Columbus Pride Parade has been sentenced to one year of probation and 40 hours of community service.
22-year-old Deandre Miles pleaded guilty to charges of attempting to take a police officer’s gun during an altercation. The other three protestors were convicted and sentenced to probation, community service and fines. They blocked the parade route to raise awareness of what they say is the mistreatment of minority LGBTQ community members by Stonewall Columbus, which organizes the annual event.
