Columbus-based American Electric Power is asking the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio for permission to make customers pay nearly 62-million dollars in repairs for storm damage last summer.If approved, the plan would cost the average home an additional 3-dollars a month for one year. 1.5 million customers lost power during the storms. A PUCO decision is not expected until the spring. In October, AEP reported a third quarter profit of 487 million dollars.
