A&F Reports 3Q Results

New Albany-based retailer Abercrombie & Fitch says third quarter sales fell by more than 100 million to just over 1 billion dollars. The decline compared with the same quarter last year is slightly below the sales figures anticipated by Wall Street. Profit fell by by 73 million from a year ago to nearly 16 million dollars. The retailer blames a 14 percent decline in same-store sales and costs associated with the closing of its intimate apparel stores.
