The research laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton will spend up to 4.1 million dollars from the Pentagon to expand efforts to identify technologies that could be turned into weapons or commercial products. Lab officials are seeking help from educational or nonprofit institutions in identifying, cataloguing and rating the technologies. Federal officials have been pushing government labs to commercialize more technology.
