Air quality alert in effect Tuesday in Central Ohio

The Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission has issued an air quality alert for today. The agency says hot weather in the region will combine with pollutants from vehicles and factories to create unhealthy levels of smog in the air. The elderly, children and those with breathing difficulties are asked to monitor and limit their outdoor activities.
