Animal welfare in Ohio series - Part 3

Columbus, OH – Ohio continues to be home to large scale operations that breed puppies under poor conditions in dirty and unsafe environments. Some puppy mills, as they are commonly called, have been shut down this year. But some state lawmakers say there are many more of these facilities that need to be shut down. In part three of her three part series on what the state is doing to protect pets, Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles reports some lawmakers continue to push legislation that would increase penalties for puppy mill owners and operators, but the bill is in limbo.
