The 2nd Ohio District Court of Appeals has ruled the prison sentence for the Champaign County woman who faked brain cancer and accepted thousands of dollars in donations to help with expenses was warranted. The court says the judge gave Heather Gaus jail time instead of community service because the ongoing theft was "organized criminal activity."
