A judge has sentenced an Ashland, Ohio man to nearly 39 years in prison in the strangling and stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend while vacationing on the North Carolina Outer Banks two years ago. 29-year-old Nate Summerfield kidnapped and killed 33-year-old Lynn Jackenheimer in 2012 while on vacation with her two children. Prosecutors say Summerfield returned to Ohio with the children, dropped them off with family and went on the run. Authoritieslater arrested Summerfield a Columbus motel.
