Aspiring Local Rapper Sentenced On Kiddie Porn Charges

U.S. Attorney's Office

An aspiring Columbus rap artist has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for using underage girls in his music videos. 24-year-old Eric Chavis pleaded guilty to charges of using  16-year-old and 17-year-old girls who posed nude in videos he sold online and in DVD form. Federal agents arrested Chavis last year during a raid of his Barclay Square apartment. Two alleged co-defendants - 22-year-old Mareekus Davis and 30-year-old Carlton Jackson - are charged with conspiracy for their roles in the case.
