State and local authorities are investigating last week's death of a Fairfield County Jail inmate. 31-year-old Ariel Clark had trouble breathing and died at a hospital last Saturday night. Sheriff's deputies say before his breathing problems, Clark had become combative and assaulted two deputies. The county coroner says toxicology test results are pending. Clark was arrested last week on a domestic violence charge.
