County Boards of Election are reminding Ohioans that voters taking photos of their completed ballots and posting them on social media is a felony under state law. Cuayhoga County Board of Elections director Pat McDonald says the law was created more than 20-years ago to prevent bribery at the polls.
McDonald says voters who refuse to comply will be referred to the prosecutor's office. But two Republican state lawmakers have introduced a bill that would decriminalize the practice. State Representative Niraj Antani is co-sponsoring the measure.
