BGSU To Replace Fraternity and Sorority Buildings With Greek "Village"

Bowling Green State University is planning a new housing village to help promote fraternities and sororities on campus.

The planned Greek housing village will replace fraternity and sorority houses that are being torn down. University officials say the conditions of the existing houses are substandard. University officials determined that renovating the older buildings would prove too costly.   They say the project also was driven by the realization of the importance of fraternities and sororities to campus life.  The old buildings will be replaced with a townhome village of 10 structures. The 30 million dollar project is scheduled to be completed by fall, 2016.
