U.S. House Speaker John Boehner is comparing Republican Mitt Romney's choice of a running mate to John Kennedy.
Boehner says Paul Ryan is also a good-looking, articulate young man. And Boehner says Ryan is a good choice to deliver the GOP message this election year. Ryan's federal budget plan cuts Medicare, food stamps and virtually every other government program. Ryan's plan would cut the tax rate for weathly Americans from 35 to 25 percent. It's a politically risky plan that could cost Romney the state of Florida because it is dominated by retirees. But the plan has made Ryan a hero to the Republican Party's budget hawks.
