New charges are possible against a Newark rape suspect after bomb-making materials were found in his home. Police evacuated an apartment complex yesterday when they found black powder and electronics in Christopher Carson's basement. Carson is being held on 100 thousand dollars bond for allegedly raping a woman earlier this week. Carson allegedly assaulted a 25-year-old woman who gave him a ride home from a bar. Officers arrested Carson on Tuesday while he was naked and wandering outside of an apartment complex on Westmoor Avenue.
