Buckeye Village To Charge Residents For Parking

Residents of Ohio State University's family apartments will have to pay for their parking spaces.344 students living at Buckeye Village say they can't afford the 620 dollar annual fee that starts in Mid May, after years of parking for free. They claim the new campus parking operator is insensitive to their situations balancing jobs, school and families. The private operators CampusParc paid the university 483 million dollars last year to lease its parking operation. CampusParc says the deal allows it to charge for parking because it is now responsible for maintaining the lot.
