Campbell To Be Executed In 2015

The Ohio Supreme Court has set an execution date for the man who faked paralysis, overpowered a Franklin County Sheriff's deputy, hijacked a pickup truck and killed the driver in 1997.64-year-old Alva Campbell will be executed on July 15th, 2015 for killing 18-year-old Charles Dials. The justices overturned Campbell's first death sentence in 2000, ruling he was not allowed to properly present mitigating factors at sentencing. The justices sent the case back for resentencing, and the trial court again sentenced Campbell to death.
