Canal Winchester's Discolored Water Said To Be Safe

Canal Winchester officials say water customers may notice their water is discolored or cloudy, but that it is safe for drinking and bathing. An additional high pressure pump was turned on at the water plant yesterday during a power outage, causing an increased flow into the system. This caused some particles to break lose and appear in water. The discoloration or cloudiness is temporary and should disappear on its own. Running a faucet also will help restore water clarity.
