Carney To Challenge Yost

Democratic State Representative John Carney is expected today to formally announce his plans to challenge Republican State Auditor David Yost in 2014. The 37-year-old Carney has been an outspoken opponent of the agenda of Governor John Kasich and his fellow Republicans, including proposed limits on public employee unions. Yost has taken on his own party, including subpoenaing financial records of Kasich's privatized job-creation entity, JobsOhio.
