Case Of Cop Who Shot Suspect Will Not Go To Grand Jury

Newark Police

Licking County prosecutor Ken Oswalt says he will not present to a grand jury the case of a Newark police officer who ran down a suspect with an SUV after another officer was shot on November 5. Oswalt says there is no evidence of wrongdoing by the officer. Police say suspect Randall Hutchison led officers on a chase before he shot and wounded 35-year-old officer Jarrod Conley. Police say Hutchison later raised his gun to fire at detective Doug Bline, and Bline intentionally ran into him with an unmarked SUV. Hutchison remains hospitalized.
