Cases Of Animal Cruelty Found In Central Ohio

Authorities say an Indiana dog breeder whose minivan broke down in Licking County had been transporting 62 dogs, some packed four or five to a crate. County Humane Society director Lori Carlson says the dog had coats covered with feces and urine. The driver told authorities he was taking the dogs to a rescue facility in New Jersey, but authorities believe they were en route to a puppy mill. Charges are pending in that case, and in the case of nearly two-dozen cats found over the weekend at a condemned and filthy Grove City home.
