Central Ohio Man Sentenced In Federal Child Pornography Case

A central Ohio man convicted of receiving child pornography has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Federal prosecutors say 51-year-old Marion M. Kimball was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Columbus. Court documents say investigators found more than 11,000 images and 230 videos of child pornography in a search of the Newark man's home in February. The search was made after undercover agents say they observed child pornography files being shared via peer-to-peer file-sharing programs at an IP address registered to the home. Authorities say the files' titles indicated they involved children from 7 to 10 years of age. Kimball's attorney didn't immediately return a message left at her office Thursday. This case was brought in a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
