Champaign County Boy Claims Alternate Personality Responsible For Murder Of His Father's Girlfriend

Prosecutors say a 14-year-old Champaign County boy told a 911 dispatcher an alternate personality was responsible for killing his father's girlfriend. Donovan Nicholas made the statement last week after the slaying of 40-year-old Heidi Taylor at the home she shared with the teen and his father in Mad River Township. Nicholas said he hates the alternate personality named "Jeff," who was going to make him die in prison. Nicholas is charged with a delinquency count of aggravated murder. His attorney admits the teen has mental health issues.
