Chief Recommends Cop Be Fired For Abusing Drugs
Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs has recommended safety director Mitch Brown fire an officer who allegedly abused prescription pills.
Jacbos says Matthew Freetage bought painkillers from an informant for his personal use. Freetage allegedly hurt himself during a workout, but went to the informant for the pills instead of seeing a doctor. That informant claims the officer showed signs of addiction when he ingested the pills while in uniform.
