Chinese Woman Lands In NE Ohio After Round-The-World Flight

Saki Chen landed her single-engine plane at the Cuyahoga County Airport yesterday, realizing a five-year dream to fly around the world.

Chen left the Richmond Heights airfield August First on a 24-thousand-mile journey that included stops in Iceland, Egypt and Russia.  A week earlier another Chinese woman, Zheng Wang of Palm Beach, Florida became the first Chinese woman to circumnavigate the globe.  

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
