Chrysler Decision On Manufacturing Materials Could Keep Plant In Toledo

Toledo Blade

A decision to keep making Jeep Wranglers out of steel could lead to Chrysler keeping its plant in Toledo.  "Automotive News" reports Fiat Chrysler won't make the vehicle out of aluminum, keeping the existing  factory in the running for future production.  The automaker's CEO told the industry newspaper he's two months away from deciding whether the Wrangler will stay in Toledo. The city is offering the firm tax breaks to keep the plant operating, and has purchased land near the plant to allow for an expansion.
