Cincinnati Bank Settles Claims Of Auto Loan Discrimination

Federal authorities say Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bancorp will pay 18 million dollars to settle allegations black and Hispanic borrowers had to pay higher auto loan rates. Prosecutors say the settlement includes compensation for affected borrowers and requires changes and monitoring of the way Fifth Third prices indirect auto loans.
