Cincinnati Nightclub To Close Permanently In Wake Of Weekend Shootings

Associated Press via npr.org

Ohio Division of Liquor Control agents have cited the owner of a Cincinnati nightclub where one person was killed and more than a dozen wounded with drug abuse and drug possession violations. Agents who inspected the Cameo club after the Sunday shooting say they found marijuana in the building. The club was cited in 2015 for drug abuse.  Agents also handed out complaints about health violations. Cincinnati police are searching for suspects in the shooting. Club owner Jay Rodgers say he will permanently close the facility later this week after receiving notice from the landlord to vacate.  Rodgers says he had planned to move the club in May when the sale of the building was completed. Police on Monday updated the total number of victims to 17, including one fatality.
