Clark County Pastor Beaten After Sermon

Police have arrested a man who they say attacked a pastor after his Sunday sermon in his Clark County church. North Hampton police say 57-year-old Reverend Norman Hayes sustained a broken nose, bruises and three facial lacerations after being beaten at Bridge Community Church by a self-described atheist. It happened after Norman asked the girlfriend of 28-year-old James Maxie if she felt safe. Hayes says Maxie was confrontational during the service and became angry when the pastor suggested he might hurt his girlfriend.
