Cleveland Approves Deal To Share Police Resources With Columbus During Major Events

towlerroad.com

Cleveland City Council has approved an ordinance calling for a mutual aid agreement with Columbus on police resources during large events. Police Chief Calvin Williams said the idea grew out of cooperation between the cities during the 2016 Republican National Convention, when Columbus sent 100 officers to help with security. Williams said officials decided a more permanent agreement was needed.
