Columbus, OH – Suicides and murder-suicides are taking place at an alarming rate across the country, including in Ohio. An Ohio baseball coach and former teacher has dealt with a number of suicides and attempts over the years by friends, students and players. Bowling Green high school baseball coach Doug Merrill has written a book called "Fighting The Demon of Suicide," which offers a gameplan to prevent it. In a conversation with Mike Foley, Merrill says thoughts of suicide stem from an inability to see beyond the present day's troubles.
