A Columbus police officer has been placed on desk duty pending the outcome of an internal investigation into allegations he verbally assaulted a woman and held her at gunpoint. Crystal Curenton says 42-year-old officer Randall Lyons blocked her truck and then pulled her out at gunpoint last week at the intersection of South Hamilton Road and Livingston Avenue. Curenton says Lyons was off duty and did not tell her he was a police officer. She says Lyons was upset because she brushed the mirror of his truck with her vehicle. Lyons has not been criminally charged.
