Classes are again being held at a South side elementary school for the first time in four years. Stewart Alternative Elementary School reopened yesterday. More than eleven million dollars in renovations were made since the building was damaged by an arsonist in 2010. Upgrades include a new gymnasium, cafeteria and improved technology.
