The Columbus Metropolitan Library is eliminating daily fines for overdue books and other materials on January 1. Patrons who have items 21 days or more overdue will have their library cards blocked. Those with items missing more than 35 days will be charged a replacement fee. Patrons with existing fines will still be required to pay them.
