Columbus Man Sentenced For Selling Pirated Movies

A federal employee accused of selling pirated movie DVDs during work hours has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to copyright infringement. Federal prosecutors say 65-year-old Darrell Lynch of Columbus must also pay 15 hundred dollars restitution to the Motion Picture Association of America and had to resign from the Defense Logistics Agency. Authorities found 188 unauthorized copies of recent movies in April.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
