Columbus Nitrate Advisory Lifted

The City of Columbus has lifted the nitrate advisory for water customers served by the Dublin Road Water Plant. The city says the nitrate levels in the water are low enough for infants and pregnant women to drink safely. The advisory was issued June 8 after the nitrate level exceeded the federal safety limit of 10 milligrams per liter.  The excess nitrate came from farm and lawn runoff caused by heavy rains before the advisory was issued.
