Columbus police say cold-case investigators have used DNA evidence to link a rape case nearly two decades old to a man recently arrested in Oklahoma. DNA evidence recovered after an 18-year-old woman was raped in Beatty park in 1997 was linked to 45-year-old Joseph Carter. He has been extradited and remains in custody.
