Columbus Police Investigating Five Tuesday Shootings That Wounded Six People

Columbus police say six people were shot and wounded last night in five separate shootings. Police say Dejon Skelton and Khalil Woods were wounded near the intersection of Seymour Avenue and East Main Street. The two are hospitalized in stable condition. A few minutes later, James Burgett was shot and wounded while with a group of people in a front yard on Whitethorne Avenue. He is hospitalized in stable condition. Two hours later, Bernardo Miguel was shot and wounded near the parking lot of Brightside Academy in South Linden. He is hospitalized in stable condition. An unnamed person was shot an hour later on East 11th Street in South Linden. That person is hospitalized. Another unnamed person was shot and critically wounded an hour later on North Guilford Avenue in Franklinton. Police have not made any arrests.
