Columbus "Snow Warriors" And Police Brace For Rush Hour

Crews from the Columbus Department of Public Service began pre-treating major roadways earlier today, and by mid-afternoon, some 40 trucks are clearing Priority 1 roadways as the city prepares for 1-2 inches of snow this tonight.

The Ohio Department of Transportation clears I-70, -71 and -670.  At 12:30, Columbus police tweeted that they are currently only responding to accidents with injuries, and urged caution.   Priority 1 roads include State Routes 33, 104 and 315, and major arterials. The Department says that after rush hour traffic eases, the "Snow Warriors" will begin work on Priority 2 collector streets.  Residents can see where the plows have been, and where their own streets are in the queue, the Department's "Warrior Watch" website.
