A Columbus woman convicted of trying to hire an undercover officer to kill her husband was sentenced today to eight years in prison. Prosecutors say 39-year-old Tasha Woody offered an informant 2 thousand dollars to kill her husband Michael last January. Prosecutors say a police detective posing as a hit man then called her and set up a meeting where she was videotaped offering the detective 10 thousand dollars. Prosecutors say she wanted to collect her husband's life insurance and retirement money to feed her drug addiction.
