Coroner: Jeffers Died Of Brain Aneurysm

The Franklin County coroner says a Circleville woman involved in a street brawl in March died of an aneurysm and not from injuries sustained in the altercation.The coroner says 21-year-old Brittany Jeffers died when a weakened artery in her brain ruptured because her blood pressure rose during the brawl. The death was ruled a homicide. Jeffers' mother says she died after being kicked in the head during the brawl that involved eight people. She says the fight started when Jeffers called police to report a neighbor was breaking into a nearby home.
