COTA Fires Driver Who Kicked Gay Passenger Off Bus

The Central Ohio Transit Authority recently fired a bus driver who kicked a gay passenger off her bus in June. Jacquelyn Willis accused Ben Purdom of making her sick by spraying an odorless chemical on her bus last month. An internal probe failed to uncover any discrimination, and the agency says Willis was fired for not having a medical problem to explain her behavior. Willis and her union representatives have yet to comment.
