Council Member Reed Sentenced For Third DUI Conviction

A Cleveland city council member convicted of driving under the influence for the third time has been sentenced to serve 10 days in jail. Zach Reed will must also wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet for an additional 60 days, perform community service and pay a 15 hundred dollar fine. Reed was arrested in March after running a red light and making an improper turn in downtown Cleveland. Police say he failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breathalyzer test. Reed served a 10-day sentence in 2008 on his second drunken-driving conviction. He has been a council member for 13 years.
