CPD Names Man Shot By Officer

Columbus police have now released the name of the man who was shot and wounded by an officer early this morning on the West side.

Police say 28-year-old Anthony Trussell is hospitalized in stable condition after being shot in the 8-hundred block of Stephen Drive. Police say the officer was attempting to arrest Trussel on an outstanding felony warrant, but he fled on a scooter and hid in a shed. Police say the officer opened fire during a subsequent confrontation.
