Erie County Sheriff's deputies say a mother's 9-1-1 call about her 18-month-old disabled sonsent an ambulance crew to a home where they found the undersized toddler dead and six other children in poor condition, most of them malnourished. Chief Deputy Jared Oliver says four of the children were taken
to a hospital. Oliver says the 18-month-old boy died last week amid filthy conditions in the home. Oliver says criminal charges have yet to be filed, but the case will be presented to the county prosecutor's office.
