Decline in jobless applications

The Labor Department says applications for unemployment insurance benefits in Ohio fell last week by nearly 16-hundred. Nationally, applications fell by 14-thousand to a seasonally adjusted 374-thousand - the lowest level since mid-May. The department says applications need to fall consistently below 375-thousand to reduce the unemployment rate.
